MEET OUR ARTISTS
At Island Soulmates, we believe that design tells stories. That is why we collaborate with illustrator artists to create limited-edition microfiber towels, where art, sustainability, and functionality come together in a single piece. Each collaboration is born from a unique creative vision.
AS IS PERCALES
Hi, I'm Asis Percales, an illustrator and draftsman. I was born in Granada in 1986 and currently live in Barcelona. Throughout my life, I have combined my two passions—drawing and nature—which has given rise to a style of my own. My work intermingles characters, creatures, and elements of a diverse nature, which are represented somewhere between ugliness and beauty in different situations and attitudes.
The grotesque and the bizarre are elements that powerfully grab my attention, and I use them as a vehicle to capture the viewer's attention and convey sensations.
Deconstructed poetry lacking apparent meaning but possessing great pictorial and visual strength. Fresh, iconoclastic, and erotically festive art.

XOAN VIQUEIRA
There are people who don't just draw: they create universes where you’d want to stay and live. Xoan Viqueira is one of them. His strokes have the light of the Mediterranean, the calmness of someone listening to the sea, and the courage of someone who dares to be themselves.
In his characters there is love, diversity, and freedom; in his colors, a joy that seems to come from within. Every line breathes truth, and each piece—whether an illustration, a ceramic, or now, a towel—is an invitation to feel good about who you are. That is why we wanted his art to be part of Island Soulmates. Because we share the same idea of summer: that place where every soul, every skin, and every body belongs. And because we believe, just like he does, that the beauty isn't just in looking at the sea… but in carrying it with you.

LAURA RUBIO
Laura began her degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in the city of Valencia, studies she completed at TKS Köln and the University of Barcelona. Throughout those years, she continued to paint, but after starting in the world of conservation at institutions such as the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), she decided that her passion for art needed to be expressed not only by safeguarding it, but by creating it.
In her various works, there is a common denominator at first glance: the creation of spaces in which to dwell, the materialization of questions that have arisen and arise in the human mind, and simply allowing the being to be. Contaminated by the New Age search for happiness, the absence of disturbance, and the state of fulfillment, the artist surrenders to her context with a mind that races, a body that struggles to make intuition heard, and a heart that does not want words to separate it from what it feels. Her fascination with astrology, with the expanded dimension of being it offers, further helps to enhance her interest in uniting psychology and art.
For the Canary Islands Edition, Laura has been inspired by the natural landscapes, rich culture, and biological diversity of the Canary Islands, creating towels that are unique works of art.

CAMILA MARTINEZ
En.Marte is her personal brand, born from the need to express herself through art. Everything she does is related to her inner world.
Each piece created tells a story, a memory, or a lived sensation.
Nature, summer, the trips she takes, and the people around her inspire her to draw and capture what she sees in a universe of colors and simple shapes.
Since she was little, she grew up playing among textiles of all kinds and endless prints in her grandmother's fabric scrap shop. Later, she studied fashion design and also learned to tattoo. Although her greatest passion is drawing, over time she did not limit the surfaces on which to do it.
Materializing what she imagines gives her enormous satisfaction.
She likes to explore new techniques and decorate surfaces to make them unique and more beautiful. We hope you like each of her creations as much as she enjoys making them.
